Clinical Trials For Disease Areas in Chicago

Research studies in Chicago, IL cover a broad spectrum of transitional science. They range from pediatric care, neurological conditions, and respiratory health to a collection of genetic and other biomarkers in medicine.

A major focus in clinical trials is finding new treatments and diagnostic tools that provide meaningful clinical advantages.

Some studies assess diseases like sickle cell disease and diabetic foot infections. Whereas others evaluate clinical conditions that could be relevant to patients across various diagnoses, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) quality and pain control.

For example, the University of Chicago Medical Center has enrolled more than 100,000 patients in clinical trials since 1997. They’ve enrolled an extra 20,000 patients at other healthcare facilities across the nation for multicenter studies.

In fact, UChicago Medicine has the biggest number of clinical trials in the region. In the past year, they’ve recruited over 1,000 patients for cancer medical research.

Because of the wide range of clinical trials in Chicago, there is always a need for more volunteers. Our platform connects you with leading researchers and facilities near you. Join us as we make a lasting impact on healthcare. Sign up now!

Ablation-Index Guided Ventricular Tachycardia Ablations
Recruiting
Over the last decade, radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) has become an established treatment for ventricular arrhythmias (VA). Due to the challenging nature of visualizing lesion formation in real time and ensuring an effective transmural lesion, different surrogate measures of lesion quality have been used. The Ablation Index (AI) is a variable incorporating power delivery in its formula and combining it with CF and time in a weighted equation which aims at allowing for a more precise esti... Read More

The most successful treatments we have today for diseases like asthma, cancer, high blood pressure, and heart problems came from what we learned from clinical trials. This is why patients can enjoy a better quality of life and longer lifespan.

Paid research studies in Chicago are here to provide a monetary benefit for those willing to participate. Clinical trials often require a lot of time and commitment from participants. You would need to get tested all the time, visit the clinic regularly, and make lifestyle changes.

These trials also come with risks. Paid clinical trials in Chicago can motivate patients to participate, especially if they can’t afford treatment. Sponsors can cover expenses like parking fees, taking time off work, and transportation.

The compensation for Chicago paid studies reduces the financial burden and makes new treatments more accessible for people. It also reduces the dropout rates and maintains a consistent pool of participants throughout the trial.

Clinical Trials For Health Volunteers in Chicago

As a health volunteer, you become the cornerstone of progress. Your contributions set the standard for best practices in medical care.

You directly contribute to the development of new treatments and therapies. Your involvement can lead to breakthroughs that benefit not only the people of Chicago but potentially millions around the world.

Medical Discoveries and Innovation in Chicago

Prediction can improve healthcare.

The University of Chicago Medicine is working with Google to study how machine learning (ML) can boost patient care. Scientists are working on creating predictive models with ML. These models could help prevent expensive complications and unexpected hospital readmissions.

Over the last year, Google scientists have demonstrated how ML helps healthcare professionals detect breast cancer and avoid preventable vision loss. They’ve also converted research findings into practical medical tools and delivered alerts to doctors whose patients suffered from serious health issues.

Researchers in the Department of Medicine in Chicago secured a record-breaking $169 million in funding. They also effectively applied their fundamental research in real-world clinical settings, leading to significant breakthroughs. They published thousands of notable papers featured in high-profile journals. They conducted over 1,600 clinical research studies.

Why Chicago Is A Great Place For Clinical Research

Medical research opportunities in Chicago rely heavily on diverse patient data. Reports indicate that 45.33% of its residents are White, 29.22% are Black, 10.67% are from other races, 7.4% are Multiracial, 6.85% are Asian, 0.49% are Native American, and 0.04% are Native Hawaiian.
