Clinical Trials For Disease Areas in Montana 

Montana is one of the most rural areas in the United States. About 43.6% of its population lives in rural regions. Compared to regions with bigger cities, Montana doesn’t have a broad range of clinical research trials. But, those that are available provide access to quality care and use the latest technology. 

Since 2004, roughly 1,200 clinical trials have been done in Montana. Many of the state’s trials focus on environmental health. Others try to address the unique challenges of rural health disparities and access to healthcare in remote areas.

Vismodegib, FAK inhibitor GSK2256098, capivasertib, and abemaciclib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.

A Study to Learn About a Study Medicine Called Ibuzatrelvir in Adult and Adolescent Patients With COVID-19 Who Are Not Hospitalized But Are at Risk For Severe Disease

The purpose of the study is to evaluate whether ibuzatrelvir is effective and safe in adults and adolescents with COVID-19 who do not need to be in the hospital but who are at high risk for progression to severe disease. Eligible participants will be randomly assigned (by chance) to receive ibuzatrelvir or matching placebo orally for 5 days. Co-administration of locally available standard of care is allowed. The total duration of the study is around 6 months.
